New Year, New Goals

I'll start with Happy New Year!!

You've made it yet another year.

No doubt last year had its ups and downs, twists and turns- but here you are. Ready to start fresh, better than ever.

There's nothing more motivating that the thought of starting with a clean slate- regardless of anything you're cleared to put your best foot forward with whatever goals, projects or dreams you have in mind. The key to achieving these goals however, is to KEEP that motivation, keep that FIRE, keep that DRIVE to everyday do better than yesterday, because just like last year there are always obstacles that get in the way of these goals.

I'm here to give you a few of my secrets on keeping that motivation up year round.

1. Keep a visual. Get a corkboard, and fill it with the things you want to achieve or see happen in your life this year. In fact, it doesnt have to be an entire board- just one picture will do. Whatever visual you create, put it somewhere you will see it every day so that no matter what happens, you never forget why you are putting in the work.

2. Surround yourself with positive and motivating people. If when you get up in the morning and go to work, or go to school and find that the people in your life don't lift you up and inspire you- find new people to spend time with. The most miserable of jobs can be made enjoyable if you just have the right people to do them with. Or better yet- be that person!

3. Set many small goals. If you have one big goal in mind to achieve- break it up into smaller goals that you can feel good about achieving even before you get to that one big one! Make sure to write them down.

There you are, three things that keep me going on my goals even when the going gets tough. Nothing worth having will ever come easy, but you can incorporate techniques in your life to make it bearable:)
